NFL Star Johnny Manziel Accused of Hitting Girlfriend and Threatening Suicide

Its been a rough couple of months for the youngster quarterback Johnny Manziel. In his college days at Texas A&M he became the first freshman quarterback to pass for over 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000, making him the hot ticket college football player everyone wanted to see play in the pros. But even back then every once in awhile wed see a story about Manziels partying ways. Fast forward into his current contract with the Cleveland Browns he has been less than effective and hasnt lived up to the hype at all. Matter of fact, he was a no-show to the teams final game of the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers, in which they lost 28-12 and finished the season with a 3-13 record. Embarrassing Why was he a no-show you might ask? Supposedly, he was spotted in a Las Vegas nightclub but later posted a picture on Instagram claiming he was at home with his dog. Weve seen this type of behavior from him before, but with this latest incident we think its going to be hard for the media not to label his behavior extremely concerning.
Apparently, last Saturday, at the Hotel ZaZa in downtown Dallas, Manziel allegedly struck his ex-girlfriend several times before fleeing from the hotel with the victim. Supposedly, the two stormed out of the hotel and drove to Manziels Fort Worth home. An ABC affiliate claims that before the two entered the car, Manziel told the woman shut up or I'll kill us both. Thats an extreme red flag if you ask us. Anyways, the two got to Manziels ex-girlfriends apartment, but not before striking her several more times according to a police call from the victim. She called the police from her home and supposedly was running in and out of her living space from Johnny before he fled the scene on foot, she also claimed that he appeared to be on some type of drugs but he wasnt intoxicated. The police commissioned a helicopter to look for him while he was on foot but could not find the Cleveland quarterback. The police also called Manziels father, Paul, who said that Johnny was doing just fine and requested that officers do not contact him again unless a warrant is issued. At the end of the day, the police closed their investigation and Manziel officially escaped another one.
We think that we should probably try and attempt to put a stop to his current behavior but the NFL and city authorities give him the benefit of the doubt every time. And this could be a big mistake. For someone to claim that Manziel was suicidal and willing to hurt someone else, the police should have never closed their investigation. Were really hoping this downslide isnt for the worst for the budding NFL quarterback but from the looks of his actions he may be out of control. Lets not wait until its too late, this kid has potential just needs the right guidance to have a fruitful and prosperous career.
