You've traveled to Africa, and you want to experience everything this continent has to offer. There are many breathtaking areas to see but where to start? Take some time to do your research and plan out where you want to go. It will all be worth in the end when you capture the most beautiful places in Africa on camera.
#1. Table Mountain in South Africa
From the air it is an amazing site to see. Table Mountain has spectacular beaches and is a great attraction to capture on film. You can take cable cars to experience the views, including the sunrise and sunset. If you're afraid of heights, don't go on the cable cars. The ground view is just as impressive as the view from the sky.
#2. Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda
It is certainly an experience you will never forget. They're size isn't the only impressive thing about these gorillas. They're eyes will pierce your soul. Tours are available in the forest to see these magnificent creatures.
#3. Victoria Falls in Zambia and Zimbabwe
You don't want to miss this place in Africa, or you will regret it for the rest of your life. The beautiful falls will make you want to take out your camera and take a picture. Be sure not to miss the rainbows that show up within the falls. The colors will amaze you, and you will enjoy the refreshing spray of Victoria Falls.
#4. Pyramids Of Giza in Egypt
It took so much work to build these pyramids with 2.5 million pieces of limestone so the least you can do is visit them. The triangular shape and size will make you feel small but glad you came. Did you know that all sides of the pyramid were built precisely to the north, south, east, and west? Don't forget to take a picture with your phone and send it to your friends to make them jealous.
#5. Nyika Plateau National Park in Malawi
It may look like an intricate formation with many different paths to travel, but its views are something you'll never forget. Its plateaus integrated with rivers makes this national park unusual but a great opportunity to take pictures. The eastern part of Nyika Plateau creates the Great Rift Valley. Its formation makes it the perfect place to hike, bike, and use a Jeep along the paths.
#6. Draa Valley in Morocco
The endless sea of plantations is a beautiful site to see. The Atlas Mountains and the Dunes of the Sahara rests on either side of this wide landscape. Nearby are hotels and restaurants where tourists like yourself can enjoy the views of Morocco. The Draa Valley's red earth, plantations, and mind blowing views will make you never want to stop taking pictures.
#7. The Sphinx in Egypt
This piece of architecture is truly a site to see in person. A lion's body and a human head make up this huge Sphinx. Yes, it does really exist beyond the pages of National Geographic. You don't want to miss this attraction while you're in Africa, and you know you'll be kicking yourself on the plane ride back home if you do.
#8. Riding Safari in Kenya
Whatever you do, do not get trampled. You know it's an amazing experience to be a part of as you ride along with the wildlife on a horse. It's probably the most incredible and dangerous thing you will ever do while you're in Africa. Nothing compares to the beauty of the wildlife.
#9. The Nile in Egypt
You've read about it in history books, and you know you're actually here to see it in person. How cool is that? You can take a cruise down the Nile to see all the attractions it has to offer. The Valley of the Kings and the Kom Ombo Temple are just some of the attractions you can see and capture on film. They are truly something to marvel at, and you know you'll never forget what you've seen.
#10. The Southern Cross in Zambia
The stars above are quite magnificent in the Southern Hemisphere of Zambia. The Southern Cross constellation is a site you can't miss in the open sky. It will make you feel insignificant and in a state of awe all at the same time. Nothing is more beautiful than the stars in Africa.
#11. Flamingos in Kenya
These tall, pink birds are amazing against the backdrop of Lake Nakuru National Park. There are more than one million flamingos to see all in one place. You've never seen so many birds in your life. Believe me this is something you do not want to miss when you travel to Kenya.
#12. Lower Zambezi in Zambia
You will see elephants, hippos, and other wildlife. Just don't get in their way and they won't hurt you. Using a canoe you can sail through the safari and experience wildlife from a new perspective instead of on land. You will be accommodated by people of the land into camps and lodges near the river.
#13. Bazaruto Archipelago in Mozambique
The land view has no comparison to the view of this place from a helicopter. Sure you may see whales, dolphins, and other sea life in the water but the view from the sky will amaze you because of the mere size of the Bazaruto Archipelago. The helicopter will even take you back to your lodge on Benguerra Island. Their hotels are award winning and because they rest on an island, you can see the amazing sea life that surrounds you.
#14. Nxia Pan National Park in Botswana
The fruit hanging off the trees in this national park have been said to taste like sherbet. Nxia Pan is also known for its salt pans. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hug herds of giraffes can been seen walking around in this national park. You want to explore this part of Botswana because of how beautiful this place is to the eye.
#15. Fish River Canyon in Namibia
The vast landscape alone is beautiful. This canyon is 500 meters deep and 160 kilometers long and wow is that huge. The dry season is when you will want to travel to Namibia to see the Fish River Canyon because the turquoise water is truly an impressive site to see. Taking pictures won't do it justice but it will be something you can have forever on film.
#16. Solio Reserve Rhinos in Kenya
You will see rhinos as you travel to the Solio Reserve in Kenya. It exists between two mountain ranges and is home to more than 250 rare, black and white rhinos. How often do you see a rare species of rhino? Just don't get trampled and you'll be ok.
#17. Nyiragongo Volcano in the Congo
Don't fall into the volcano, it's hot! Oh, and you'll die. It's two kilometers in width with a lava lake that you can look at and obviously can't touch. Nyiragongo is an active volcano that erupted in 2002, taking the half a million lives.
#18. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania
It's beauty is shown in its massive size. 5,895 meters is how high this mountain is as Africa's highest peak. You're climbing this mighty mountain because it's on your bucket list, or you just love to climb mountains. You will encounter wildlife, rainforest, and meadows on your climb to the top.
#19. Lake Malawi
Did you know it's one of the largest lakes in the world? It is also known as the "Lake of Stars." 1,300 species of fish inhabit Lake Malawi and is recognized as having the most fish in its lake. Be sure to dive in to experience all the species of fish that you can.
#20. The Great Migration in Tanzania
If great is in the title, then you have no choice to but to explore Tanzania. You can be here to experience the wildebeest and zebra migrate. It's a year round experience for these wild animals. No picture can ever replace seeing this in real life.
